The sports industry is facing unprecedented times. After a year of canceled events and quarantined athletes, new solutions were created to help us navigate through an era of change. With that in mind, Colosseum Sport, Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, and KPM Active created the "Running Tech Challenge Day".
After years of being the largest and most significant ongoing sports event in Israel, the Samsung Tel Aviv Marathon had to adapt to our new reality and will take place on a unique digital format on February 19th. To help our athletes and producers, we are calling all the startups and companies to present solutions and technologies for (new) running challenges.
DIGITAL RUNNING CHALLENGES
Improving the level of accuracy in measuring the distance of the runners.
In races where there are no winners and official times.
Finding solutions that do not require the use of a mobile phone.
Finding additional sources of income, strengthening the connection with the community, runners, and sponsors.
Solutions in the field of event photography that takes place in different areas.
Accessibility of the marathon to different people (blind, deaf, etc.).
Finding advanced solutions to protect digital systems and information.
do you have a solution or startup to help us?
The winning startup will have the chance to work alongside the Tel Aviv Municipality and KPM Active to implement the technology at the Samsung Tel Aviv Marathon on February 19th, 2021.
